The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service is holding
Physician & Nurse Executive Leadership Course training.
The training will be July 21st - 23rd, 2009
at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Aberdeen, SD.
COURSE GOAL:
To develop strong physician & nursing leadership that enables Physician & Nurse Executives to adequately & effectively perform their duties and responsibilities.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- To provide leadership education, guidance, & direction on administrative processes and management responsibilities to enhance decision-making skills.
- To provide the necessary tools in the development of effective Medical & Nursing Staff programs.
- To understand the role and responsibility for leadership development & the importance of succession planning.
- To foster creativity and innovation within the IHS organization.
- To provide guidance and direction to Executives regarding performance improvement activities in relation to the provision of quality patient care, treatment, services, and patient safety through IST(Improvement Support Team) & IPC(Innovations in Planned Care Teams) updates.
