KAT Communications Wins Major Business Award

KAT Communications was recognized with the "Mike Fink Award for Steady Growth and Profitability" at the 2010 Celebrate Bismarck-Mandan awards program sponsored by the Bismarck-Mandan (North Dakota) Chamber of Commerce.

To qualify for the Mike Fink Award a company must be a member of the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber, have been in business at least five years, had a growth in the number of employees, and had a growth in revenue by an average of 20 percent over the last three years.

"We are humbled by this recognition and share this award with our wonderful clients and dedicated employees," said Todd Muggerud, owner/president of KAT. Muggerud founded KAT in Bismarck in 1989. He is a native of Hettinger, a city in the southwestern part of the state.

Celebrate Bismarck-Mandan is sponsored by the Chamber's Excellence in Business Committee to recognize the accomplishments of businesses in the community. Several other awards are bestowed at the annual event.

The Mike Fink Award name honors Mike Fink, a long-time chairman of the Excellence in Business Committee and an employee of Bismarck’s Montana Dakota Utilities (MDU) for 33 years. Fink died of cancer in 2004.
